Breast Lift

Breast Lift commonly referred to as a Boob Lift, raises and firms the breasts by removing excess skin and tightening the surrounding tissue to reshape and support the new breast contour.

Though there are numerous kinds of breast lift, each is done to tailor fit the concerns and current condition of each patient. The current size of the breasts, the location of the nipples and areola, and how low the breasts falls down will determine the plans of the surgery.

Typically, there are 3 types of patients who want breast lifts.

The FIRST TYPE are those who are happy with their breast size and their nipples are not too far from the lower breast fold. In this case, we usually do a simple breast lift with the incisions falling around the nipple-areola complex. If the nipple-areola complex are too low, the dissection will be more extensive and the incisions and final scar will look like a lollipop.

The SECOND TYPE are those patients who feel that their breast have been deflated after pregnancy and breastfeeding and their nipples are not too far below the lower breast fold. These patients most often will be satisfied with a breast augmentation using a silicone implant to fill up the volume of the breast and at the same time raise the nipple-areola complex.

The THIRD TYPE are those patients whose breasts have been deflated due to pregnancy, breast feeding, or aging and whose nipple-areola complex are very low or are pointing to the ground. In this case, Breast Augmentation with a silicone implant and a concomitant breast lift would effectively fill up the volume of the breast and, at the same time, raise the nipple-areola complex.
